BioShock is a FPS video game developed by 2K Boston and published by 2K Games. Released on
August 21, 2007, the game immerses players in the underwater dystopian city of Rapture, a once
utopian society now crumbling under the weight of its own ambitions. Players navigate a richly
detailed world filled with unique characters, moral choices, and innovative gameplay mechanics
that blend combat with exploration and with some story driven decision making. BioShock is
celebrated for its atmospheric storytelling, deep philosophical themes, and iconic setting and it is
one of my favourite game series.
