Have you ever wondered why you're extremely hard on yourself? It might be because you're a perfectionist. This talk is a personal, emotional story about how Chloe Kozuch deals with her perfectionism over school, and how her family and friends help her cope. Chloe Kozuch, age 11, is a rising seventh grader who lives in Philadelphia. She loves gymnastics, dancing, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends. Her dream career is to be a pediatric oncologist. Her favorite subjects in school are social studies and science. Chloe is a perfectionist, specifically in school, and has always been curious about why she has perfectionism. She realizes that others suffer from perfectionism as well, so she decided to investigate how family and friends can have a positive influence on the negative mindset that perfectionism causes. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
