Triple Frontier Birding Adventure: Witnessing Avian Wonders and Rescue Operations

In the sensitive area where the borders of China, Russia, and North Korea converge, our birding expedition unfolded.
Currently, the border between China and North Korea is heavily surveilled with cameras, and it is forbidden to photograph towards the North Korean side. Photographers risk being detained and investigated at border checkpoints if caught.
On the first day of birding, and as the second day's birding was drawing to a close, we encountered a heart-wrenching sight: a Taiga Bean Goose entangled in a fishing net around its beak. Without hesitation, we contacted forest law enforcement for rescue. An hour later, we received a call informing us that the rescue team, equipped with long poles and hooks, had successfully freed the goose from the entanglement.
