Let’s start with:
Log in to the router
1. Open a web browser on your computer or smartphone device.
2. Search 10.0.0.1 {the link is in the description}. It's the default IP address for your Xfinity router.
3. Enter your username and password. If you haven't changed the default credentials, enter ‘admin’ as the username and ‘password’ as the password.

.Access settings
1. Click on Advanced Settings, found on the lower left bar of the screen.
2. Select Remote Management.

Enable remote management
1. Select HTTP or HTTPS. Preferably, choose HTTPS to enable data encryption and avoid interception by third parties.
2. Select a range, a single, or all IP addresses to have remote management access.
3. Remember to click save.

Set remote access credentials
If your Xfinity router model allows you to set remote management credentials, then set them. It ensures network security and prevents unauthorized access.
