A great atmosphere for high school basketball during the battle for the top of the Trinity League. Santa Margarita playing host to the visiting St John Bosco Braves. Brandon McCoy Jr playing in his 3rd game back from injury gave the Braves some great defensive play against playmaker Kaiden Bailey. This night though belonged to Elzie Harrington looking determined to win this road game at all costs. Harrington was getting it done early and often getting two dunks off steals. He also looked more comfortable shooting the basketball hitting from downtown 6 times in the game. Dallas Washington played well for the Eagles cashing in 4 times from beyond the arc for a team high 21 points. Santa Margarita was trailing most of the game but managed to take a 49-47 lead late in the 3rd quarter. St John Bosco proceeded to go on an 8-0 run and never game up the lead again as the Braves went into hostile territory and stole a road victory 77-67. That catapults the Braves to 5-1 and tied with Mater Dei although Mater Dei holds the tie-breaker with an earlier win against Bosco.

Elzie Harrington finished with a game high 28 points 11 assists including 6 threes. Christian Collins scored 16 points while Chris Komin added 11 points with 3 threes.

Dallas Washington scored 21 points 6 rebounds 2 blocks with 4 threes.

Kaiden Bailey 13 points 7 assists

These two will go at it again on Monday, this time on the campus of St John Bosco.
