It’s in 2005 that Nerariyan CBI, the latest film in the franchise of the CBI investigative thrillers starring Mammootty in the lead was released.
After more than 15 years, the makers are set to launch the next film in the series. We hear that the movie’s shoot, if all goes well in the pandemic times, will begin on Chingam first - the start of Malayalam year - which falls on August 17. A source from its production team tells us, “If there are no restrictions limiting us, the shoot will start on this date in Ernakulam. It will be directed by K Madhu and scriptwriter S N Swamy, but the rest of the technicians will only be finalised soon enough.
