Ryan Kado and Julian Jacobs of drift team Animal Style saw there was more than one way to make drifting work. They realized that they could make just as big of an impact doing cool team drifting as being Formula Drift Pros as way less of an investment and have way more fun doing it. Back then there were only two options in the US. Drift for fun or try and go pro, vlogging wasn’t really a thing at the time. With help from Hert, Will Rogue, and Ryan’s brother Brandon Kado the Animal Style Videos went viral. Animal Style was different, it was relatable, it was fun. Julian and Ryan were just emulating their favorite driving and cars from Japan but they put their own spin on it. What started as a joke name Animal Style has been around for 15 years now and as members have dropped off and others have joined it still continues to be a force in the drifting community world wide.
