Lapland Finland

Äkäslompolo is een pittoresk dorpje in Fins Lapland. Het wordt gekenmerkt door een gigantisch meer dat in de zomer bevaren wordt door kano's en bootjes, maar in de winter het uitvalspunt vormt voor verschillende wintersport activiteiten zoals huski/sledehonden en sneeuwscooter safari. Dit dorpje is een flink stuk boven de poolcirkel gelegen, waardoor je een goede kans hebt om het Noorderlicht te spotten. Naast het dorpje ligt de berg Yllas, één van de beste ski gebieden van Finland. En naast het dorpje ligt ook een Nationaal park, waar je genoeg kunt beleven.

Äkäslompolo is a picturesque village in Finnish Lapland. It is characterized by a gigantic lake that is navigated by canoes and boats in the summer, but in the winter it forms the starting point for various winter activities such as huski/sled dogs and snowmobile safari. This village is located well above the Arctic Circle, which gives you a good chance of spotting the Northern Lights. Next to the village is Mount Yllas, one of the best ski areas in Finland. And next to the village there is also a National Park, where you can experience plenty.
