AZT Thru-Hike - Part 7 - Superior to Oracle

Superior to Oracle

Another mind-blowing section of the Arizona Trail. From the minute I got back to the trail it turned into a killer day. So many stunning views that it's hard to stop filming. I had fun in an amazing wind tunnel the first night and decided to camp on low ground the rest of the way to Oracle. I made it to the Gila River on day 2 and thought it was a wonderful water source. I followed the river all day and the first part of the morning. I was lucky enough to find so many great water caches on this stretch and even found candy in a few caches, thank you Arizona Trail angels for everything you do. I spent 5 full days out on this leg of the journey and hiked into Oracle on the morning of the 6th day days where I took a good nearo and a full zero. Oracle was my favorite town on the trail, I had a great time there and I felt like I was going to really be able to finish the trail with only 200 miles to go.
