Grand Rapids’ Third Ward is being left behind from city’s economic boom

Описание к видео Grand Rapids’ Third Ward is being left behind from city’s economic boom

The Third Ward, basically the Southeast Side of Grand Rapids, is receiving far less in city investment when compared to the city’s other two wards. Only 1.5 percent of the $1.29 billion of private development using government tax incentives went to the Third Ward in 2012-17. City Commissioner Senita Lenear, who represents the Third Ward, is critical of the city’s previous efforts to be more equitable in its investments.
