आज सुबह से साईं बाबा को लेकर भी घमासान मचा हुआ है..साई बाबा के भक्त और साई बाबा के विरोधी आमने-सामने खड़े है...कोई साई बाबा को मंदिर से बाहर कर रहा है तो कोई इसका विरोध कर रहा है.. हांलाकि दलील दी जाती है कि एक वक्त था जब साईं बाबा की भक्ति का बहुत जोर था। उस दौर में साईं बाबा पर लोगों की जबरदस्त आस्था थी...लेकिन खुद को सनातनी मानने वाला वर्ग इस पर एतराज भी जताता था... वजह थी कि साईं बाबा को हिंदू और मुस्लिम दोनों धर्मों के लोग मानते है..एक वर्ग का दावा ये भी साईं बाबा का असली नाम साई बाब नही बल्कि चांद मियां है, इस वजह से हिंदू मंदिरो में उनकी पूजा करना ही गलत है। हालांकि ये भी माना जाता है कि साईं बाबा ने खुद को भगवान कभी नहीं कहा। लेकिन बावजूद इसके मंदिरों में उनकी मूर्तियां लगाई गईं और उन्हें पूजा गया..लेकिन आज वाराणसी में 14 मंदिरों से साईं बाबा की मूर्तियों को हटा दिया गया है। वजह ये बताई गई है कि चूंकि शास्त्रों में साईं बाबा की पूजा के विषय में नहीं बताया गया है..इसीलिए हिंदू देवी देवताओं के साथ उनकी मूर्ति रखना भी गलत है और पूजा करना भी गलत है।

One class also claims that Sai Baba's real name is not Sai Baba but Chand Miyan, due to this it is wrong to worship him in Hindu temples. However, it is also believed that Sai Baba never called himself God. But despite this, his idols were installed in temples and he was worshipped.. But today Sai Baba's idols have been removed from 14 temples in Varanasi. The reason given is that since the worship of Sai Baba is not mentioned in the scriptures, hence keeping his idol along with the Hindu gods and goddesses and worshipping him is also wrong.
