This video shows how to make a CustomGPT for marketing. It is a high-speed playback of the 90 minute process of creating a custom ChatGPT. The finished GPT does quick, simply competitive analysis with almost no input by following a multi-step process that follows a set of instructions and prompts.
The complete process is shown, including a method for creating instructions and prompts, improving them in a sidebar conversation with ChatGPT, and keeping everything organized using Google Docs.
As an example, I made an Analyzer custom GPT that compares a brand to several other brands. It first creates a simple persona based on optional inputs from the user. This first step allows it to look at the brands from the perspective of the target audience. Then it selects the competitors or allows the user to provide them.
Finally it summarizes the similarities and differences, and draws a comparison chart. The chart is also based on the perspective of the persona.
With the help of the AI, I named it “Brand Scanner.” It took about 90 minutes to build. (I may add more functions to it later) I recorded my screen while making it, then sped up the recording to 10x speed and narrated the process, explaining everything.
So now you have the complete recording, with every step explained.
This includes everything from the basic setup, writing instructions, writing prompts, then having AI improve your instructions and prompt. Everything is managed from within Google Docs. Prompts get exported as a separate “Prompt Index” and then loaded into the custom ChatGPT as “knowledge.”
It’s an interactive process of testing, revising, improving, debugging and then finally sharing it.

🔹Analyzer GPTs: these can audit a given asset, optimize, find gaps and suggest improvements
