Smokey & The Bandit Tribute Truck Ep.56 Snowman's Rollin'

On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for??? “We ain’t never not made it yet have we?”

To kick off the episode, I get to installing the west coast mirrors and I know it would be a bit of a pain to convert them to straight bars vs the bent ones that came with the Canadian intakes. Once I got that completed and threw on some movie-correct CB antennas, I tackle the starting issue on the old 350 Cummins that I was able to solve followed by an embarrassing run-in with the air filters. Then finally, after almost three years’ worth of Saturdays grinding away on this Snowman Replica, I finally get to the point where I can take it for a drive. What an amazing feeling to be behind the wheel after all the countless hours I’ve put into this build. Still more work to go before I call this build complete, then off to working on the matching trailer, but a significant milestone for me none-the-less.
