Australia's BEST Absolute Beachfront Campsite | Winderabandi Point | Ningaloo

We begin our Ningaloo Series at the magnificent Winderabandi Point on the Ningaloo Reef in this episode of The Lap Archives! Winderabandi Point lies adjacent to the Winderabandi Sanctuary Zone of Ningaloo Marine Park and is known for its stunning coral formations and abundant marine life, making it a popular spot for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. We spent a week camped at the most sought-after absolute beachfront camping sites, right on the point on sites 4 & 9. Join us as we explore the vibrant underwater world of Ningaloo Reef and discover the beauty of Winderabandi Point in all its glory!

The name gives it all away. Within the week we spent here, we had maybe two glamour days, the wind was relentless and the water was choppy. Despite the challenging weather conditions, we still managed to witness the beauty of the reef and enjoy some incredible snorkelling experiences. It was a reminder of the raw and untamed nature of this stunning location.

Sites 14 and up have beachfront access buried in the dunes, making them much more private and possibly providing better shelter from the wind if you are unable to lock in an absolute beach front site on the point.

Dogs are permitted
Self-contained camp fires permitted
No bins provided, nearest bins are at Yardie Creek.
$10 per adult ($7 Concession), $5 per child.
4WD access required.
