The latest update to the Audi Q7, while not a complete overhaul, introduces several notable changes. The model, which first appeared in 2015 for the 2016 model year, now sports a refreshed appearance, particularly evident in its front design. The Audi Singleframe grille, a familiar feature, has been updated and maintains its prominent size, framed by a bold, octagonal pattern. The front end also boasts reimagined corner vents with a vertical layout and, while the LED headlights largely retain their previous look, there's now the option to include HD Matrix lights with laser technology and customization options.

Audi has enhanced the lighting system of the Q7, marking a first for the model. The new system includes a laser diode for each headlight, which activates at speeds above 43 mph in conjunction with the high beams, significantly extending the range of the high beam lights. Additionally, customization now extends to the daytime running lights, with four distinct designs to choose from. This customization also applies to the redesigned LED taillights. It's unclear if these lighting advancements will be available in the North American market due to stringent regulations.

The entry-level Q7 now comes with added features such as contrast stitching, 19-inch wheels, a gloss package that includes aluminum roof rails, and a rearview camera with parking assistance. For those seeking more personalization, there are nine decorative inlays available for the interior, which remains unchanged in its overall design. Three new paint colors – Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, and Chili Red – and additional wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches are also offered.

The technology within the Q7 has been updated, with apps from third-party providers like Spotify now accessible through the infotainment system. New driver-assist features, including various display warnings in the virtual cockpit for activities like lane changing and maintaining distance, have also been added.

Powertrain options are familiar, with a 3.0-liter diesel engine available in two power levels (228 or 282 horsepower) for European customers, alongside a 335-horsepower gas V6 and a 500-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 in the SQ7 variant. The SQ7 also features distinctive black trim, oval exhaust tips, a front chin spoiler, and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

While Audi USA has not released specific details regarding mechanical updates, pricing, or the timeline for the arrival of the updated Q7 in the United States, European customers can look forward to the 2024 model with a starting price of 79,300 euros. It's expected that the model will be designated as the 2025 year model once it becomes available in the United States.
