Ocular Anatomy (आंख की संरचना)
Ocular anatomy refers to the structure of the eye. It includes all the parts that work together to allow vision. Key parts include:

🔹 Cornea (कॉर्निया)
Transparent front part of the eye

Focuses light onto the retina

🔹 Lens (लेंस)
Adjusts its shape to focus on near or distant objects

Located behind the iris

🔹 Iris and Pupil (पुतली और आंख की रंगीन परत)
Iris controls the size of the pupil

Pupil regulates how much light enters the eye

Light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye

Converts light into electrical signals

Responsible for central and sharp vision

🔹 Aqueous and Vitreous Humour (नेत्र जल और काचाभ तरल)
Fluids that maintain eye pressure and shape

🧠 Optic Nerve (ऑप्टिक नर्व)
The optic nerve is the second cranial nerve (CN II).

It carries visual information from the retina to the brain.

It is composed of over a million nerve fibers.

Any damage to the optic nerve can cause vision loss or blindness.

It connects at the optic chiasm, where some fibers cross over, helping in binocular vision.

The optic nerve is technically a part of the central nervous system (CNS), not the peripheral nervous system!
