Hobi Causes Awkward Moment For KATSEYE Member | BTS j-hope

KATSEYE watched Hobi's "Hope On The Stage" tour in LA. The girls even had the opportunity to meet him backstage.

Hobi has a unique and distinctive facial feature that makes him look like a Greek god. I mean, his face card never declines. Despite his distinctive visuals, Hobi has his share of doppelgangers.

Hobi also has some look-alikes in the K-pop world. This "blonde buff Hoseok" had ARMY gasping for air. But this turned out to be BTOB's Lee Minhyuk or Huta. And this "smoking Hoseok" almost gave ARMY a heart attack. But it turned out to be The Rose's Woosung. These Hobi doppelgangers were pretty impressive. But Hobi is repeatedly mistaken for one of his members.

This detail caused an embarrassing moment for one KATSEYE member. Manon was so shy and hesitant to share a story of her encounter with Hobi. The group was in South Korea at the time for their “Gnarly” music show promotions. Being in the same company, it wasn't impossible for KATSEYE to cross paths with BTS in the building. And that's exactly what happened to Manon and Hobi. Bear in mind that this occurred after KATSEYE met up with Hobi backstage at his HOTS LA concert. Hobi and KATSEYE even have a group chat. So Manon felt comfortable greeting Hobi casually when she saw him in the elevator. But here's the catch... it wasn't Hobi.

Manon didn't name the BTS member that she met that day, but her description gave ARMY a strong hunch of who it was. Manon's "embarrassing" moment took place during BTS's military enlistment, and Jin and Hobi were the only ones who were discharged at the time. But Yoongi served in a non-combat role due to his injured shoulder, and ARMY believed he wasn't required to shave his head, so his hair may be as long as Hobi's. Someone even shared they couldn't tell SOPE apart as a new fan.

If it was indeed Yoongi that Manon met at the elevator, I don't blame her for thinking it was Hobi. I mean, SOPE doesn't only look similar, but they morph into each other.

While we will never know which member Manon was referring to, what we do know is that it isn't the actual Hobi. Because Hobi has a sharp memory and would remember the people he has already met.
