Moving on to the next hive and repeating the same late-season process — VarroxSan out, MAQ in, and making sure frames with usable comb and resources stay tight to the center of the box. Any frames with little or no drawn foundation stay on the outside, where they won’t interfere with the winter cluster.

At this point, the bees aren’t building — they’re conserving. The goal is shorter distances, better heat retention, and easier access to food as temperatures drop.
