জানাজার নামাজের নিয়ম বিস্তারিতভাবে বর্ণনা করা হলো:
১ম মত মৃত ব্যক্তিকে ক্বিবলার দিকে সম্মুখে রেখে মুসল্লিদের ও ইমাম দাঁড়ানো।
মুসল্লীরা নামাজের অজুর ন্যায় অজু করে ইমামের পিছনে ক্বিবলামুখী হয়ে দাঁড়ানো।
মৃত ব্যক্তি পুরুষ হলে ইমাম তার মাথার পাশে দাঁড়ানো। আর মহিলা হলে কফিনের মাঝ বরাবর দাঁড়ানো। মৃত ব্যক্তির মাঝ বরাবর দাঁড়ানোতে কোনো দোষ নেই।
জানাযার নিয়ত করে চার তাকবিরের সহিত নামাজ আদায় করা।
কাঁধ বা কানের লতি পর্যন্ত দু’হাত উত্তোলন করে আল্লাহু আকবার বলে নিয়ত বাঁধা।
অন্যান্য নামাজের ন্যায় ডান হাত বাম হাতের উপর রাখা।
ছানা পড়া (কেউ কেউ সুরা ফাতিহা পড়ে অন্যান্য সুরা মিলানোর কথা উল্লেখ করেছেন।)
২য় তাকবিরের পর দরূদে ইবরাহিম পড়া।
৩য় তাকবির দিয়ে ইখলাসের সঙ্গে হাদিসে বর্ণিত দোয়াসমূহের মাধ্যমে মৃত ব্যক্তির জন্য দোয়া করা।
৪র্থ তাকবির দিয়ে যথাক্রমে ডানে ও বামে সালাম ফিরানোর মাধ্যমে জানাযার নামাজ শেষ করা।
আজকে আমরা জানবো জানাযার ছানা সম্পর্কে:

سُبْحَانَكَ اَللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَجَلَّ ثَنَاءُكَ وَلاَ اِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ-
উচ্চারণ : সুবহানাকা আল্লাহুম্মা ওয়া বিহামদিকা ওয়া তাবারাকাসমুকা, ওয়া তাআলা ঝাদ্দুকা ওয়া ঝাল্লা ছানাউকা ওয়া লা ইলাহা গাইরুকা।
The rules of the funeral prayer are described in detail:
1st method: The deceased is placed facing the Qiblah and the worshippers and the imam stand.
The worshippers perform ablution as in prayer and stand behind the imam facing the Qiblah.
If the deceased is a man, the imam stands next to his head. If the deceased is a woman, the imam stands in the middle of the coffin. There is nothing wrong with standing in the middle of the deceased.
Make the intention of the funeral prayer and perform the prayer with four takbirs.
Raise both hands up to the shoulders or earlobes and say Allahu Akbar.
Place the right hand on the left hand as in other prayers.
Recite the Chana (some have mentioned combining other surahs with reciting Surah Fatiha.)
After the 2nd takbir, recite Darood Ibrahim.
With the 3rd takbir, make a sincere supplication for the deceased through the supplications mentioned in the hadith.
End the funeral prayer by returning the greeting to the right and left respectively with the 4th Takbir.

Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala zadduqa wa jalla chanauka wa la ilaha ghayruka-
Pronunciation: Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta'ala zadduqa wa jalla chanauka wa la ilaha ghayruka.
