The South Western Railway (SWR) took the initiative to attach Vistadome coaches to Day Trains running between Yeshwantpur(Bangalore) to Mangalore junction, from July 11. This journey promises a scenic panoramic view of the incredible beauty of the verdant green Western Ghats.
The trains part of this initiative includes Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Weekly Express Special (Train No. 06540/06539), Yeshwantpur-Karwar Tri-weekly special (Runs till Mangaluru Jn only, Partially canceled between Mangaluru and Karwar) (06211/06212), and Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction Gomateshwara Tri-weekly Express Special (06575/06576). This train route carries special importance because it traverses through the Western Ghats, specifically the Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya Ghat section. The section is scenic and offers breathtaking glimpses of mountains, valleys, gorges, and greenery. The region abounds in monsoon with even more beautiful scenery.
