'Gorge'ous Col de la Couillole from Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée (France) - Indoor Cycling Training

Описание к видео 'Gorge'ous Col de la Couillole from Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée (France) - Indoor Cycling Training

Col de la Couillole is an often overlooked mountain pass in the Mercantour National Park. It is traversed by the famous ‘Route des Grandes Alpes’. The approach from Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée is full of spectacular views. It starts with a few hairpins, but then it has a long, stunning segment through a beautiful gorge. The road is often cut into the mountainside, and you ride through many picturesque tunnels. On your way, you pass the spectacular village Roubion. A medieval village that clings to the mountain like an eagle’s nest on a rock. It is a ride without extreme gradients. Instead, you ride a very consistent gradient of around 7-8%. The Tour de France has used this pass a few times. While not as famous and difficult as nearby Cime de la Bonette, it is definitely a mountain pass worth doing.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
