Storyline :
This is the story of GANYA, naïve and innocent, but a staunch devotee of Lord Vithal, much to the resentment of his mother and wife RATNA. A confused Ganya caught in the web of life, pleads to Lord Vithala for a solution to all his problems. The Lord answers him back. Ganya is elated. He goes around telling The whole village " The Lord has spoken to me !". Everyone thinks that Ganya has lost his sanity. Except the village money lender who asserts Ganyas claim, and in the bargain usurps all his ancestral lands.Constant rebuking by his family drives him to commit suicide, but he is saved by a herdsman who incidentally is also a devotee of Lord Vithala. He consoles Ganya and also gives him some money to go to Bombay. Amidst a lot of hardships in Bombay, help arrives in the form of BAPU a "vada" vendor.. Armed with the prize money of Rs.5 lacs that he has won in a singing competition, he returns back to the village. A shocking revelation awaits him. It seems while Ganya was in Bombay, another Ganya, a look alike was residing here with his second wife RAMA. This smart, wise and intelligent Ganya not only took care of things, but also recovered the lost ancestral lands.Harassed by the constant quarrels between the two wives, Ganya has gone to leave Rama at her mothers house. Now this Ganya arrives from Bombay. If the real Ganya was in Bombay, who was the other Ganya?
Who was Rama? This was the riddle baffling everyone...Versatile Actor, Makarand Anaspure plays a Double Role in this Social Comedy due for release this Summer.
