Battered by STRONG Winds | Scrambling up Whitegill Ravine | Wild Camping on Loft Crag, Lake District

In todays adventure we're heading out for a wild camp somewhere in the Langdales, our plan is to scramble up Whitegill Ravine to bag Blea Rigg, my 103rd Wainwright before heading off up over Pavey Ark to find somewhere to wild camp.

The conditions as we headed out were forecast to be horrendous but as we scrambled up Whitegill Ravine we were offered some protection from the elements. As we broke onto the fell plateau we were greeted with severe high winds, driving hail and snow flurries but we managed to make our way to Blea Rigg and touch the top.

After topping out we then climbed the easy gully to the summit of Pavey Ark before heading towards Loft Crag our destination for our wild camp tonight. The conditions hadn't improved so found the most sheltered position then set up the Snugpak Scorpion 2, home for tonight....

Tent bound most of the night sheltering from the elements we only had a couple of opportunities to get out of the tent, so grabbed a couple of quick images but struggled due to the high winds which are at the end of the video.
