Today we’re reviewing some seriously rare bourbon… from 31,000 feet in a private jet. After selecting a Four Roses Single Barrel for Liquor Depot, we flew with the Dive Bar Pilot to Heaven Hill Distillery and grabbed two incredible bottles: the Elijah Craig Grenade (125 proof) and the limited-release Grain & Glass Chicken Pen Barrel (105 proof).

These are distillery-only, allocated bottles that you’ll usually only see on secondary pages or in the hands of hardcore bourbon collectors. We brought them on the jet, popped the corks, and gave you our honest first-pour tasting notes at altitude.
