Not much to say about this. Belew’s ‘Modern Electric Orchestra’ (MEO?) is well demonstrated in the music immediately following his phrase. I really enjoyed this slice of the band’s history, too. But my friend and Crim-colleague Trey Gunn has described his time in the group magnificently as “like having a mild infection. You’re not really ill, but you just don’t feel well” which sort of hits the nail on the head. I’ve tried with ‘my spiritual home with a bed of nails’, but I guess being in the band was somewhere between the two. #billbrufordsearthworks
