In this video, producer and creator ‪@Isaacduarte31‬ walks through his three go to methods to make drum loops from scratch that sound amazing.

Using Addictive Drums 2 by XLN Audio in FL Studio, Isaac's firs method demonstrates how to get that natural almost "lifeless" drum sound that has been popularized by artists like Sza, Leon Thomas, Clairo and Men I Trust. With tape emulation plugins, reverb, and distortion you can achieve a very gritty and nostalgic sound on your drums.

Then in Ableton, his second method shows how to build drum loops using a sample from Splice or a record as the jumping off point. And finally the third method breaks down how to render an old drum idea you may have ignored. These gems will rejuvenate your old dusty drum loops into shiny classics.
