Описание к видео SEAMAC - Educational video No.2 - Functionally Graded Materials

Welcome to our second educational video on additive manufacturing of Functionally Graded Materials!

In this video, we dive into the world of advanced 3D printing, of FGMs — special materials that gradually change properties like a rainbow, but with practical benefits instead of colors.

Join us as we explore how these "superhero" materials work and learn from our expert scientist as she explains how FGMs have the potential to revolutionize manufacturing, making things work better, faster, and stronger.

Don't miss out on this exciting journey into the future of additive manufacturing!

About the SEAMAC Project:
Additive Manufacturing (AM) can revolutionize industries, but its full potential requires highly trained professionals with advanced degrees. The University of Ljubljana has expertise in direct laser deposition (DLD), but lacks knowledge in material behavior for functionally graded materials and post-processing to improve surface roughness. To address this, the SEAMAC project involves Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and Technische Universiteat Bergakademie Freiberg - TUBAF. Technion brings material science expertise and TUBAF contributes knowledge on plasma electrolytic polishing. Both institutions have significant AM experience, industry partnerships, and research management skills. The project includes technical and non-technical collaboration through workshops and summer schools.
