🇺🇸 M1129 Stryker Mortar Carrier
The M1129 is a U.S. 8×8 wheeled mortar carrier designed to provide fast, mobile indirect fire support for Stryker Brigade Combat Teams. It mounts a 120 mm Soltam Cardom mortar capable of firing high-explosive, smoke, and illumination rounds with a range of ~6.8 km. The vehicle carries a small crew of five and is protected by light armor against small arms fire and shell fragments. Its mobility allows rapid repositioning, and the mortar can be fired from inside the vehicle, keeping the crew protected while delivering effective fire support. Secondary armament includes an M240 7.62 mm machine gun for self-defense.

🇷🇺 2S23 Nona‑SVK
The 2S23 Nona‑SVK is a Russian 8×8 wheeled mortar/howitzer hybrid based on the BTR‑80 chassis. It features a 120 mm rifled gun-mortar (2A60) capable of both indirect mortar fire and limited direct fire, giving it flexibility on the battlefield. It can fire standard mortar rounds as well as rocket-assisted projectiles up to ~12.8 km. The vehicle has a crew of four and light armor protecting against small arms and frontal 12.7 mm fire. Amphibious capabilities and an autoloading system enhance operational flexibility. Its secondary weapons include a 7.62 mm machine gun and smoke dispensers for added battlefield survivability.
