Описание к видео SIMPLE QUILT AS YOU GO METHOD using 2 1/2 inch strips to create a lap sized or baby quilt!

Our Porch Quilt pattern has long been a favorite for making a quick quilt!

Fourteenth project in a series using 2 1/2 inch strips to make scrappy quilts! This quilt as you go project uses strips and fusible batting to make a quick quilt where you are piecing and quilting at the same time! Sounds hard but it is actually very easy! You will see three finished quilts in three color options.

   • Projects using 2 1/2" Strips

I've challenged myself to do a new project each month using only 2 1/2 inch strips from my scrap buckets. I have always saved leftover strips from projects and cut up small leftover fabric from yardage into 2 1/2 inch strips and put them in a bucket for some "future" project . The future is now! It is time to tame the scrap bucket and use up these strips. I'll always have a scrap bucket of strips because I'm constantly adding to it but I want to get it down to just ONE bucket instead of three...make that seven after the "GREAT SORTING"! This series will last until I'm down to one bucket. Let's be honest, it will take at least 2 years to use up enough strips to make a difference! So join me on this project adventure to use up fabric scraps!

If you don't have leftover strips from other projects to make scrappy quilts, cut up fabrics in your stash into 2 1/2" strips to make the project. No stash of fabric? Head to your local quilt shop and buy a jelly roll or some very pretty fabric to cut into strips! Shop owners are more than happy to help you find the perfect fabric, don't be shy, ask for help if you need it!
