Deleting a conversation on Facebook Messenger from both sides is only possible on a message-by-message basis, not for entire conversations. This video explains how to use the "Unsend for Everyone" feature in Messenger, which allows you to remove individual messages from both your chat history and the recipient’s, provided it's done within the allowed time frame.

To start, open the Messenger app and log in to your account. Navigate to the conversation that contains the message you want to delete. Find the specific message, then tap and hold on it until a menu appears. From this menu, select "More" or "Remove" depending on your device.

You will see two options:

Remove for You – deletes the message only from your side of the chat.

Unsend or Remove for Everyone – deletes the message from both your chat and the recipient’s.

To delete the message for both parties, select "Unsend" or "Remove for Everyone". The message will then be replaced with a placeholder stating that the message was removed. This feature works best shortly after the message has been sent, as older messages may not be eligible for removal from both sides.

Important: Messenger does not allow you to delete entire conversations from both ends. You can delete a full chat thread from your own Messenger inbox, but the recipient will still retain their copy unless they delete it individually.
