Big change for Class 10 students! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that from 2026, board exams will be conducted twice a year.
CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj confirmed that while the first attempt will be mandatory, the second will be optional, allowing students a chance to improve their scores.
Importantly, only the best score of the two will be retained. This change aims to reduce exam pressure and give students more academic flexibility.
