REDO: Welcome back to Humankind, this is part two of my MAD challenge! We're trying to hold all the nukes! - out favorite little 4X historical strategy game developed by Amplitude studios and hitting the strategy genre by storm in the later half of 2021. Unfortunately the October "big patch update" has been delayed until November. I'll definitely be livestreaming Humankind game and making one or two coverage videos on the patch update when it releases, but for the time being I thought we could build off the end of yesterday's stream to create today's challenge!

We discussed various challenge elements - from transcending only, incorporating naval resources and seafaring tendencies, or perhaps building a large nuclear weapons arsenal and obliterate the map?

I decided to go with the ruleset below - not with the specific challenge we designed last time, but instead with a focus on going for three achievements I have yet to earn - the M.A.D achievement and it's two precursors. They require me to build and store nuclear weapons - 5, 10, and then 20 nuclear devices for the Mutually Assured Destruction achievement! The challenge will therefore be to build a very strong science and industrial base, move through cultures to fix our weak points and hopefully hold-off any aggressors, and then build a massive arsenal or stored nuclear devices and obliterate the world. I'll be disabling tech tree victories for this run just to make sure we don't prematurely end the game too (if I remember).

SPEED - NORMAL
DIFFICULTY - EMPIRE/ VERY HARD
MAP SETTINGS - REGULAR
PLAYERS - 6 TOTAL
CONDITIONS - ALL OPPONENETS FAVOUR NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Age of Empires 4 gameplay livestream is here! Welcome back to my strategy gaming, history - geography - politics inspired YouTube channel! Today I'm taking a break from my more routine Humankind game and Sid Meier's Civilization 5/ Civ 6 gaming content to deliver some brand new gameplay for Age of Empires IV. AoE4 released today, 28 October 2021! I'm very excited to try Age of Empires 4 out here for the first time live on my YouTube channel!

In this livestream we will experiment around with Age of Empires 4 gameplay and feastures, try out some of the more interesting historical factions and leaders we can play as like the mongols maybe? And overall have a play with Age of Empires 4! I'm excited to see what AoE4 has to offer, as a longtime fan but only recent returnee to the Age of Empires game franchise.

Overall is Age of Empires 4 worth it? Is AoE4 fun? And why buy age 4 when the definitive edition of AoE4 has already come out? In this video review I will answer those questions and provide some feedback and overall verdicts on age of empires 4. I hope that Age of Empires IV will have the staying power previous iterations had, but with a high launch price it seems the barrier to entry is fairly high. Thankfully, the addition of age of empires 4 to the xbox gamepass for pc helps make it, at least temporarily, an easier sell for most.
