Gordon Hayward’s half-court attempt for the National Championship deserves a deep rewind

Описание к видео Gordon Hayward’s half-court attempt for the National Championship deserves a deep rewind

Duke is leading Butler by two in the closing seconds of the National Championship. The Bulldogs have no timeouts but they still have one final chance at upsetting Coach K’s Blue Devils. With the ball in Gordon Hayward's hands, there was just enough time to get off a prayer that would quickly overshadow what led us to this point. March Madness turns the unknown into household names and the latest on that list - Hayward, Brad Stevens, Matt Howard - were looking to take it a step further and win it all.

But they weren't the only ones feeling the pressure. Kyle Singler, Jon Scheyer, and Nolan Smith had yet to live up to Coach K's standard while at Duke. They've had incredibly productive careers, and yet this was the first year making it past the Sweet Sixteen. As soon as each team won in the Final Four, we knew there was a chance of something special, but never imagined an ending like this.
