জাতিসংঘের ৮০ তম অধিবেশনে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার বক্তব্যকে স্বাগতম জানিয়ে সমাবেশ করেছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে বিএনপির নেতা-কর্মীরা। এসময় অতি দ্রুত জাতীয় নির্বাচনের রোড ম্যাপ ঘোষণার দাবিও জানান তারা।অন্যদিকে, প্রধান উপদেষ্টার আগমনে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও মানববন্ধন করেছে আওয়ামী লীগের নেতাকর্মীরা। শুক্রবার স্থানীয় সময় দুপুরে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার বক্তব্য চলাকালীন মিছিল করেন তারা।
