In this video I am demonstrating the Pearl Sonic Boom Buzz Cajon. This is a really fun drum to play and has some unique features you don't see on a lot of Cajons on the market. The first thing you will notice is the volume of this drum. It is definitely louder than most Cajons due to its birch shell, walnut face plate, and front-facing built-in bass port. There is a nice snap and low end boom that really projects forward with this drum. Added to that sound is the snap and buzz of internal fixed snare wires which round out this one-of-a-kind drum.

I played this drum for a good long time and also recently did a recording with it; in fact, it was fantastic in the studio! It was like having a mini drum kit to make music with, only the sound was not mini at all, it was quite full and big and I was able to really get some nice grooves going.

Cajons have really made a mark in a lot of today's popular music because they have such great vibe and sound along with the super easy portable nature of a simple box drum.
