Begin at Glebe Park and along to Lake Burley Griffin, Kings Park and Bowen Park to Kingston Foreshore through Jerrabomberra Wetlands and Fyshwick. Stay on the Canberra Avenue cycle path all the way to Thorpe Avenue beside Queanbeyan River, into Cooma Street/Old Cooma Rd. Steep Old Cooma Road is cycle path all the way to Googong Road leading to your to your destination. Take a well-earned relaxing break at beautiful Googong Downstream Picnic Area. Here you'll find fresh drinking water from convenient taps and ample bbq/picnic areas right on the Queanbeyan River's edge. Ride the local parkland trails, remembering to also visit Googong Dam foreshore before returning with this ride just as delightful and entertaining, using the same path in reverse.
