Opening up an MSI GP66 Leopard Laptop | Ram Upgrade | m.2 NVME Upgrade | Battery Removal

The MSI GP66 Leopard can be a bit tricky to open up the first time, but once you know what you are doing it is super easy!

I have upgraded the m.2 NVME SSD and added a 2 TB drive to mine. In the future I may also upgrade the ram as mine came stock with 16 gb.

If you are also running the laptop plugged in full time it is nice to remove the battery so that you do not use it up and damage it, and you can always put it back in when you need to travel and require the battery capacity back again. I am not sure if you can upgrade the battery in this model or not, as the stock one is not that great.

Overall this is a fantastic laptop! It is very light and mobile and awesome for travel. It is fast enough to run programs quickly, and plays games very competently.

This particular model has a 3070 in it, but I am curious about upgrading to a 3080, or a new 40 series model when those are released.
