An eyewitness video showed fire and plumes of smoke rising above the Port of La Guaira to the north of Venezuela’s capital of Caracas following the U.S. airstrike on Saturday (January 3).

Reuters was able to confirm the location from the port layout, road layout, road divider, gate and buildings, which matched with file and satellite imagery of the area.

Date was verified by an official statement and media reports saying there were strikes in La Guaira early on Saturday.
