Hello Designers, In this video I’ll walk you through the latest Affinity Designer update which is version 2.6 which was released in February 2025.

The pencil tool has a new smooth feature that allows you to choose the level of smoothness in a curve, before and after drawing.
The pencil tool also has new options for auto-closing which was greatly needed.
The pen and node tool both get a new ‘Use line style option’.
The node tool update allows for quickly changing a sharp node to a smooth node and vice versa.
The colour picker tool finally automatically applies a picked colour to an object.
Brushes are now searchable.

Affinity Designer V2 (2.6) Used in this tutorial.
