In this video, I'm showing you guys FIVE of my favorite online savings banks in 2019. Online banks generally have much higher interest rates than brick and mortar banks such as Chase, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. As a result, you get paid a lot more interest when you have your money sitting there.

I recommend everyone at least open up one of these online savings accounts. It's easy, free, and doesn't take much time at all. You can easily transfer your money from your current savings account into these accounts, for free.

Generally, the best online savings accounts pay over 2% of interest these days. That's a much higher rate than just a year or two ago, when most accounts were around 1%.

Watch this video to see some of the benefits associated with these banks and how you can take advantage of them.

3. Synchrony - 2.25%
4. Barclays - 2.2%
5. Discover - 2.1%

You'll see most of the rates are similar. So don't worry too much about which bank you choose, focus more on which interface you like better and which one will be easiest for your to switch to.

I personally use Ally's online savings account and have been since 2016. They are wonderful and I've never had a problem.
