Lake Erie shares borders with Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Ontario Canada. Without question the Ontario waters of Lake Erie see the least amount of fishing pressure. Long Point, located near the town of Port Rowan, Ontario juts out into Lake Erie creating natural protection from the prevailing westerly winds. Near the tip of Long Point deep water harbors a mixed bag of steelhead and walleye that rarely see a fishing lure. This overlooked destination is one of the few places in the Great Lakes where anglers routinely catch a limit of both steelhead and walleye on the same day! Mark and Jake use a classic trolling spread of Wolverine Tackle spoons fished on downriggers, diving planers and lead core line.
