Millwall FC beat Burnley FC three goals to one in this League Division Two match played at Turf Moor, Burnley on the 18th December 1976. Millwall FC opened the scoring with a goal from Tony Hazell with Burnley FC then equalising through Terry Cochrane. Millwall FC went on to win the game with two more goals, the second a Burnley own goal and the third scored by Barry Fairbrother playing his 200th League game (198 played with Leyton Orient FC) and the only goal he scored for Millwall FC. Terry Cochrane played 67 times for Burnley scoring 13 times. Tony Hazell played 153 times for Millwall FC scoring 6 goals.
