Mbaddewo is a Luganda phrase to mean I have been there and the concept of the song rotates around two best-friends friends with opposite sex where one would like to escape the friend-zone to intimacy.

It hurts to know that who you love sees you as a friend only and it hurts more to see someone you taken granted taken away by someone in the least expected moment.
