Ridge Racer (PSP) - Part 1

Описание к видео Ridge Racer (PSP) - Part 1

For viewers wanting more .hack//MUTATION, please be patient, there will be atleast one new video in this series each week.

As it had done with every other Playstation generation, Ridge Racer on PSP proceeded to show just exactly what Sony's machine had to offer when contrasted with its competition. While the Nintendo DS had arguably sub-N64 visuals, Ridge Racer proved the PSP could handle PS2 quality visuals and maybe then some. For 2004, this was truly a sight to behold: With slick controls, a buttery smooth frame-rate and impressive visual effects for such a tiny gaming device. Featuring what could effectively be called the best of tracks from every Ridge Racer (excluding Ridge Racer V) and... well... You have as close to the definitive Ridge Racer there is.

Ofcourse, as things would turn out, Ridge Racer continued to be the staple for more than a few years during the system's turbulent lifecycle, because it plays real smooth, even today, and has a lot of content to unlock and discover - especially for an arcade racer. Despite its age, this is still worth the time of the day.

A NOTE: While I do not generally use emulation unless I absolutely have to, part of this video series was created using the backwards compatibility modes present on the PS TV software. Admittedly, the software has visuals that are very similar to what is available on native Playstation Portable hardware however it is still something I must acknowledge for those wanting the most enjoyment out of this video series. Irrespective of that, please do enjoy!
