In June 2023, Chad Doerman left work early and went home to his wife, three sons, and stepdaughter. According to court documents, he waited until they were napping to pull a gun from the safe, and the tragic and disturbing events that followed lead to him executing Hunter, Clayton, and Chase while their mother and sister fought to save them. He confessed to police that he had been planning this for months, but he has plead Not Guilty and is now having his defense argue to have the confession suppressed. This is the hearing for that suppression.
