Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Event: Unrivalved Emboar

Описание к видео Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Event: Unrivalved Emboar

Two weeks after the Swampert Tera Raid Event, we get the next 7 Star Tera Raid Event, and the Pokémon for this one is Emboar with the Electric Tera Type. The following week will have the Blissey Tera Raid Event happen alongside the 7 Star Tera Raid Event as a good way to grind Tera Shards.
Going over the event, Emboar has an Electric Tera Type, and its moves are Flare Blitz, Drain Punch, Wild Charge, and Head Smash, and its extra moves are Bulk Up and Heat Crash.
For scripted actions, Emboar resets player stats at 90% time, it resets its stats at 80% time and at 55% HP, it puts up a shield at 80% time or 90% HP, it uses Bulk Up twice at 40% HP and it uses Heat Crash at 20% HP.
This is a very tricky opponent, Emboar's Hidden Ability is Reckless, this powers up recoil moves like Flare Blitz and Wild Charge, making it hit very hard, and as it is an Electric Tera Type, Ground-types are the best way for it. The Pokémon that I came up with for this event is Swampert, and this is not the same Swampert from the previous Tera Raid Event, as the one I am using is female, while the Swampert from the Tera Raid Event is male, it is the one that I used in online battles in Pokémon Sword & Shield. The strategy is to use Mud-Slap to lower Emboar's accuracy, then after player stats are reset, use Bulk Up and if Swampert's HP is getting a bit low, I would use Earthquake to get some HP back with the Shell Bell. What made this hard was that in one battle, one ally used a Malamar with Skill Swap which threw everything off, because my plan was to weaken Emboar's accuracy, and another ally used a Quagsire with Acid Spray and Earth Power, so we couldn't even lower Emboar's stats. Another attempt, someone decided to use Groudon, which made Emboar's Flare Blitz hit for a high amount of damage, to the point that even Swampert was taking half damage from that move.
To list other counters, Garchomp is a very popular option as it can use Breaking Swipe to lower Emboar's attack, set up Swords Dance and use Earthquake, the Ground Tera Type is preferred on Garchomp. Another counter that I prepared is Mudsdale, because it has Stamina for its Ability, and for each hit Mudsdale takes, its Defense is boosted, and it knows Curse to increase its Attack and Defense. Flygon is another decent option as it can use Breaking Swipe and Dragon Dance, other good options include Gliscor, Landorus Therian Forme, Camerupt, and a few others. For support options, the best that I came with in case it would come down to that is Dachsbun, it has Charm and Mud-Slap to weaken Emboar's stats, and its Well-Baked Body gives it an immunity to Flare Blitz and boosts Dachsbun's Defense as well. For solo attempts, Swampert or Garchomp are great options, but you will want to make sure you have a CPU ally with Intimidate, like Arcanine, Staraptor, or Tauros, and make sure you don't get Arboliva as an ally, because the Grassy Terrain that it sets up weakens Earthquake.
Emboar has a Brave Nature, and it comes with the Hidden Ability to power up Flare Blitz, Wild Charge, and Head Smash, which it comes with right away. It is a solid mixed attacker, but it tends to prefer physical moves, it can learn Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Low Kick, Trailblaze, Bulldoze, Rock Tomb, Low Sweep, Brick Break, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Grass Knot, Poison Jab, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, Taunt, Iron Head, Will-O-Wisp, Heavy Slam, Reversal, Fire Pledge, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Blast Burn, Focus Blast, Close Combat, Knock Off, High Horsepower, Scald, Temper Flare, Curse, and Hard Press, while it can get Sucker Punch as an Egg Move. While Emboar does have Reckless for its Hidden Ability, its pre-evolved forms have Thick Fat instead.
The Electric Tera Type on Emboar powers up its Wild Charge, but as it is kind of slow, it keeps the Ground weakness that it normally has, and on a slow Pokémon like Emboar, the Flying Tera Type is preferred to give it an immunity to Ground-type moves, the Dark Tera Type can work with Sucker Punch, while Fire increases the power of its Flare Blitz. Emboar has competition with other Fire-type Pokémon, and as this is the third Fire/Fighting-type starter Pokémon in a row, Emboar is outclassed by Infernape and Blaziken as both are faster, while Emboar does have higher Attack, its low Speed is a drawback to it, while Infernape is a good mixed attacker, and Blaziken can sweep opponents with its Speed Boost Ability.
