Zyex strings by D'Addario are probably the best strings made and they don't cost a fortune. The sound is about as warm as I've ever experienced. The break-in time is extremely short, could easily play a concert the same hour that I put them on but may have to tune occasionally. Haven't noticed any decline after my first month of using them. First perfectly matched set of strings that I have ever found.
