Decolonising Economics I | Priyamvada Gopal, Carolina Cristina Alves, and Carol Anne Hilton

Описание к видео Decolonising Economics I | Priyamvada Gopal, Carolina Cristina Alves, and Carol Anne Hilton

This event aims to develop a foundational understanding of decolonising economics from an academic perspective, particularly viewing it from the lenses of pluralism, history, and political economy. It seeks to enable a more in-depth discussion on the role of colonial legacies informing the present notion of mainstream economic development. We intend for this event to be the first step towards a more long-term discussion on decolonising economics in the curriculum, its policy implications, and how pluralism can facilitate that change.
