Gold Tetra in Ewok Village Fincasters Episode 125

The gold tetra or golden tetra Hemigrammus rodwayiis a small schooling fish that is perfect for the nano aquarium. While not as well known or popular as some of its cousins, this fish is now readily available as an aquacultured fish that is bred in ponds. In this Fincast, john explained why the aquacultured fish are actually silver, while the wild caught fish from South America are the true gold versions.
In addition to the fish, this video features an unique display set in the Ewok village from Star Wars!
The wild caught fish will be a bit more difficult to keep as it will prefer water conditions closer to what it used to in the wild, while the aquacultured fish will be more conditioned to our normal ranges of temperature and pH, etc.
