Transformers Generation One voice actors Neil Ross (Springer) and Gregg Berger (Grimlock) discuss how they became voice actors and specifically how they started working on Transformers G1. It was a time when the actors were constantly booked with multiple projects. Gregg Berger describes it as needing an air traffic controller to keep it all straight.

Neil Ross helped bring to life many characters over the years including the Constructicon Bonecrusher, the Dinobot Slag, Springer, Crosshairs, Pointblank, and Sixshot in Transformers Generation 1. Neil Ross can also be heard in An American Tail as Honest John, in G.I. Joe as Shipwreck, and the voice of The Biff Tannen Museum in Back to the Future Part II.

Gregg Berger portrays Skyfire, Grimlock, Longhaul, and Outback in Transformers: Generation One, Stockade in Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015), as well as Odie the dog, and Orson the pig in Garfield and Friends, and returns as Odie on The Garfield Show.
